Week beginning: 18th October, 2026.
This weekend, Our Lord Jesus Christ tells us, “Give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God.”
As we celebrate Mission Sunday, we are reminded that our lives belong to God, who created us in His image and likeness. Our mission as Christians is to make His love known through our words, actions, and daily encounters with others.
Mission is not only for priests, religious, or those who travel to distant lands. Every baptised Christian is called to be a missionary, bringing hope to the discouraged, comfort to the suffering, and kindness to those who feel forgotten.
Our Archbishop John Wilson reminds us that the Church exists to evangelise.
Let us therefore support missionaries through our prayers, generosity, and personal witness.
