Week beginning: 28th June, 2026.
This weekend the Mother Church celebrates the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles, two pillars of faith whose lives continue to inspire Christians throughout the world. Though very different in personality and background, both responded generously to God’s call and dedicated their lives to proclaiming the Gospel.
Peter, the humble fisherman, became the rock upon which Christ built His Church. Paul, once a persecutor of Christians, was transformed by God’s grace into a fearless missionary to the nations.
Their witness reminds us that holiness is not about perfection but about faithfulness. Both experienced weaknesses, struggles, and failures, yet they trusted in God’s mercy and allowed Him to work through them. Their courage in facing persecution and their willingness to give their lives for Christ challenge us to remain steadfast in our faith.
As we celebrate this feast, may we renew our commitment to follow Christ with confidence, humility, and love.
