Week beginning: 14th September, 2025

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life‘ John 3:16

On this special Sunday, we pause to honour the Cross, not as a symbol of defeat, but of victory. The Cross of Christ stands at the centre of our faith, reminding us that love conquers hate, and life triumphs over death. When Jesus was lifted high on the Cross, He drew all people to Himself, offering salvation through sacrifice.

As believers, we are invited, not just to admire the Cross but to carry our own, with faith and courage. In life’s trials and burdens, the Cross becomes our hope, a sign that God transforms suffering into glory. May we learn to embrace our crosses, trusting that through them, we are being drawn closer to Christ. In exalting the Cross, we proclaim Christ’s enduring victory in our lives.

Let the Cross not be a decoration, but a daily call to love, humility, and self-giving.
