Week beginning: 21st September, 2025

One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much‘ Luke 16:10

This weekend, the Mother Church gently invites us to reflect on the values that guide our lives; justice, integrity, and the faithful use of what we have been given.

In the Gospel, Jesus shares the parable of the dishonest steward. Though flawed, the steward acts with foresight, prompting us to consider how wisely we use our own gifts not just for today, but for what truly lasts. Jesus reminds us that we cannot serve both God and money; our hearts are called to choose what matters most.

The prophet Amos echoes this call, urging fairness, compassion, and a deep concern for the poor. These readings are not harsh but heartfelt reminders to live with purpose and kindness. In a world often driven by wealth and status, we are encouraged to seek treasures that endure, those grounded in mercy, justice, and a love that reflects the heart of God.
