Week beginning: 11th May, 2025

The Bible describes Jesus as the great shepherd, and the believers as the sheep of His flock. The shepherd closely associates with the sheep and has almost complete knowledge about them. The sheep are characterized by an incredible capacity for hearing and, with it, they keenly pay attention to the voice of the shepherd as they follow Him.

This is important because sheep can easily get distracted and, because of their poor sight, they can wander off without realizing how far they have wandered from the flock. We, too, like sheep can easily get lost or go astray. But when we hear His voice speaking to us in the Word of God and through different life experiences, we come back to Him.

May we be reminded of our need for His loving care and provision and run like sheep back to His flock where there is safety and peace.
